Team Smarty Arty!!

Smarty Arty was designed by Bec, a family day carer and mum of three.

While I was a family day carer, I found I never had enough time. I needed to provide the children in my care with exciting activities, that contained a learning purpose, so that each and every day I could enhance their young lives, teaching them something new through fun and engaging activities.

I looked for something to help me achieve this, but there was nothing...
so Smarty Arty was born.

I put together a range of packs, using the knowledge and experience as an educator and carer. Packs that cover colours, letters and numbers as well as multicultural, musical, physical, even science and social development.

But I also wanted to support carers, (people like myself), in covering their documentating requirements...

Introducing the Educator's Resource Kit.
This book states how each activity directly relates to the E.Y.L.F. It has Extension ideas, suggested linking activities (including how they link), Key Learning Areas explaining what areas you are covering and how. Even what language is helpful in guiding childrens learning through these activities.

It is a complete package, and affordable too.

Introducing Smarty Arty's newest team member!!

Jodie Hill is a 4 year degree-qualified early childhood /special education teacher with 18 years' experience in education.
She has been a Family Day Care Co-ordinator in Queensland since 2008 and a Family Day Care Educator prior to that.
In 2001-2003, she co-authored 'Apples For Everyone', a series of early childhood activity resources for 0-5 year olds to support the then new NSW Early Childhood Curriculum Framework.

Jodie has a way with children. A special way of understanding them and being able to reach them at their level. I feel that being able to see the world through the children's eyes makes for interesting activities that children will love. Jodie is able to bring the experience of her qualifications as well as her special talents with children to help Smarty Arty achieve our goal in supporting carers and providing child stimulating and engaging activities.
